Peaches was bred by Drs Richard Meen and John Reeve-Newson, Ken Cook and Cherie Cook (Hunchak) and was shown and loved by Cherie Hunchak.

Peaches won her first specialty show over about 150 hounds at under two years of age and went on to many more conformation wins including the 1999 Borzoi Canada National Specialty from the Veterans Class. She attained her show championship in both Canada and the US.

But she was not just a pretty hound - she was an athlete and also excelled in coursing and was ranked in the top ten in both conformation and coursing in the same year. She attained her FChX title and was renowned for her agility and power.

Peaches also attained her obedience CD in both Canada and the US and was the winner of Canada’s first Triathlon for borzoi.

Peaches was also an ambassador for the breed, taking part in school presentations and lapping up the attention of children. And of course she had that essentially sighthound keenness to live game, turning from gentle friend to avid huntress when the opportunity presented itself.

Peaches was a hound that when seen was not forgotten and a true aristocrat of the breed. She is truly deserving of the first Borzoi Canada Versatility Award.
